My Story

Damon Lane is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana, and serves as the Founder and President of Manhood Ministries Inc.

​

Before becoming an NFS Advocate, Damon served six years as the Re-Entry Employment Liaison in the Mayor’s Office of Re-Entry. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Martin University in 2009. Upon graduation, he

became the Program Director for The Changed Life, a ministry created to provide transitional employment to returning citizens.

With over 20 years of service in the community, Damon was named Volunteer of the Year in 2011 and 2018 for his services at Marion County Jail II (CCA). In 2013, United Way recognized him as a nominee for the Outstanding Service Award while working with children at the YMCA. In 2017, Damon was honored with the Community Hero Award given by FOX59 and Community Health Network. With accomplishments dating back to 1997, Damon Lane has

established himself as a pioneer throughout his career.
